ohh MAN! I haven’t posted in so long! Here is a little recap…
5. Recently visited Barrelhouse Flat—in Lincoln Park—serving delicious cocktails (had a Manhatten!) and fun treats like kettle corn and cotton candy, pretty swanky.
4. Brunch at Balsan—got the smoked sea trout (basically lox), and definitely would recommend with a mimosa!
3. Been rockin’ these...

5. My trip to NYC! And my delicious dinner with some of my faves, Linds, Katie and Tina, at Hundred Acres. Enjoyed a bowl of mussels in a spicy broth with chorizo and crusty-slathered-with-olive-oil-and-oregano dipping bread, so amazing.

5. Diggin’ this new blog KT introduced me to, San Francisco-based blogger Alicia’s Cheetah is the New Black.
4. Chilam Balam on Broadway in Lakeview. I’ve been about 18 times, and it never gets old. If you still haven’t been, get in there for some Mexican ribs, fresh ceviche, and summer salads all made from local, farm fresh produce and products. BYOB too!

Sometime when I go to yoga, I have a hard time shutting out all ‘the noise,’ whether that be actual noise or the noise inside my head of lists and to-dos running wild…I liked this suggestion from the Daily Insight Yoga eNewsletter I receive.
Q: So how do you bridge the gap between your frantic life and the peace and calm of the studio?
A: If you find yourself impatient at the...

5. I’m very sad to admit this after being in Chicago for nearly two years now, but I have never explored the Wicker Park area until last weekend—consensus—loving Wicker Park!
I went to El Barco Seafood for some fresh red snapper and ceviche, and while the food was good, I absolutely loved the atmosphere (company wasn’t too bad either if you’re reading). They...

5. Trader Joe’s opening on Diversey! For some CRAZY reason, I can never leave that place without buying an obscene amount of deliciousness (dried mango slices, horseradish hummus, chix sausage, $3 wine), a lot of which I didn’t really intend on buying in the first place.
4. Berry Moon for some quality froyo in Lincoln Park. I’m partial to the tart yogurt with fruit and cocoa...

5. The Royal Wedding, specifically Prince Harry. What a hottie.
4. A Vodka Slammer (or two) at Gilt Bar.
3. My new J-O-B w/ Dorigital!
2. Dinner at Taco Joint. The ceviche (below) and talapia tacos were both unreal, and at $3 each, a steal. The margaritas were great too, which is definitely important when having a little mexican, yes?

Yo yo. This week’s installment of the Top 5 things I’m diggin’.
5. As embarrassing as it might seem, I just watched the 2nd of the truly ‘fine’ films of the Twilight Series: New Moon (I know, I know, I’m behind), and my my, are those boys attractive. I call them boys, because, well simply, they are. I think I’m Team Jacob though…sorry R. Pat.

I kind of liked the top 10 I did last week, so I thought I’d do it again, but top 5 style.
This week’s jams:
5. Blue Valentine. I had to drag myself out of the theater after seeing this (wouldn’t say it’s the most uplifting film I’ve ever seen), but Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams do an amazing job of portraying a couple who get lost in their relationship and...
